Nervously, he ran his eyes across the classroom. Everybody had their eyes on him. Friendly eyes, but also angry eyes. Eyes filled with questions, and eyes filled with hatred. In the front of the classroom, a girl eyed him with a big smile and pink cheeks. In the middle of the room, a girl waved at him, while the boy sitting next to her, her boyfriend undoubtedly, threw him a death glare. Apologetically, Hiromu Nakagawa looked to the back of the classroom, where another girl eyed him, but in a different way. She was laughing, and the boy next to her passed her a note. The young man in question, who’s eyes were a bright shade of green and who’s hair was nearly as long as Hiro’s, threw him a quick smirk, whilst raising one eyebrow. Most of the looks he got after were much and more of the same. The girls seemed to like him, while the boys wanted him dead. ‘This will be another fun one’, Hiro contemplated, before Ms. Spring assigned Hiro a seat in the front of class, next to the smiling girl with the pink cheeks.

From the back of the room, Hiro could hear a boy say: “Ms. Spring, he can sit over here! Don’t make him sit in the front, he’ll have to pay attention!” The class broke out in a mix of laughter and mutterings.

One boy replied with: “Who’d want to sit near you! Do me a favour.” He was quickly backed up by many more students in the class, it seemed, until Ms. Spring raised her voice over the noise, telling the class that enough was enough! While their teacher begun her lesson, nobody paid her any attention. All eyes were focused on Hiro, the new kid in class.

After his first week in school, Hiro let himself fall down on his new bed. He and his father had needed to buy a new one after the move, and Hiro had been sleeping in a sleeping bag on a makeshift mattress of pillows up until now. It had caused him to develop a bit of sleep deprivation, and made him long for a quick nap. After lying down for a bit, thinking, Hiro found that his thoughts kept troubling him and he started to rummage through some of the boxes that were still left unpacked. In the third box he went through, Hiro found what he had been looking for, his diary.

Lacking anybody to talk to besides his father, who wasn’t home that much due to his work, Hiro confided in his diary. It was not as good as a person to talk to, but it was better than nothing. He opened the notebook, because it was nothing more than that, really, and started writing.

“Dear Diary,” he began, “I’ve just been through my first week at school.”

As Hiro set his pen to the pages, he could feel the his eyes become watery. He poured all his emotions into the paper, both in words and in tears.

“I’m ruining your pages with tears, sorry about that.” Hiro smiled a bit. “Little bit too poetic for you, right? Honestly, I just hoped things would be different in here.” And so, Hiro told his diary about his new school, and his first week. He told the notebook about all the people he had met so far.

It did not take long for Hiro to discover that his initial prejudices about this school had mostly been right. They were all the same, always. On his first day, during the morning break, he was swarmed by girls almost immediately. They all wanted to know his name, where he came from. He was offered a tour of the school at least 10 times, sometimes twice by the same girl, and around 3 of them had worked up the courage to ask him out after school. Hiro politely declined their offers, though, telling them that he was tired of moving houses, and that he wanted to rest. The excuse may have worked for the first two days, but he would soon need to make up a new one.

On his third day, Hiro had formed a pretty decent picture of the school. The 4 different tours he had received up until now had helped in that. During lunch break, he finally got to see the cantina, not having been able to go there before. Hiro did not have to sit alone, there were enough female students interested in him. He was never rude to them, though, his father had taught him better than that. However, his mind was never able to focus on what the girls told him about themselves. Hiro wanted to get away from it all, and escape to his dreamworld.

“You know I’ve had girlfriends before.” Hiro told his diary. “Somehow, I’ve found that an obsession over my looks is no good base for a relationship.” He chuckled a bit at that.

On his third day, Hiro also found out that he was probably not going to make a friend here. After classes, having managed to sneak away from the female attention, Hiro tried to make conversation with a group of boys from his class, but they all made excuses to get rid of him. No, he was seen as the enemy, as the man invading their territory, stealing all the female attention away from them. How dare he? If only they knew how Hiro really felt about all that.

Hiro just wanted a friend.

“Is it too much to ask for someone who would listen to me? Who would want to be around me for me alone?” Anger started to replace the sadness, but the tears kept flowing.

Hiro supposed most of the girls would murder each other over an opportunity to be friends with him, and, to be honest, he thought, they might not be that bad. They could be really nice, heck, they might even make the best friend he ever had. The only problem was that they were interested in more than Hiro could give them.

“And it’d be hard to talk about…guy stuff.”

But the majority of the male students had made it clear to him that he was, in fact, not welcome here. All except one.

“He’s not an option, though. Call me picky, but that person will never be a friend of mine.”

No, not even desperation could persuade Hiro in ever considering this person as something other than a general annoyance, or something would have to change dramatically.

“When I was first introduced to my class, there was this one boy, and he seemed to be picked on.” Hiro licked his lips and continued. “I thought I should try to approach him. He might not be as prejudiced against me as the other boys.” He buried his face in his hands, took a deep breath, and took his pen back into his hand. “That was a mistake.”

His name was Yuma Matsuo, the long-haired brunette with the green eyes. He was picked on, as Hiro had observed before, but he never got around to the exact reason behind it. However, he could completely understand why people tried to keep the boy away from them. He was handsome, for sure. His hairs draped down his shoulders like a waterfall, and his eyes shone bright like a pair of emeralds. Next to that, the guy always wore a beanie, which gave him a cheeky look.

“And I’d kill for a body like his. I’m jealous, all right. I don’t see why the girls chase me when he’s around as well.” Although he could perfectly imagine why. Hiro wiped the sweat off his forehead and explained.

Hiro had never seen a more obnoxious git. Literally everything about the boy seemed to say 'I am here, this is me, deal with it'. Now normally, it would not have been so much of a problem. It's just that the guy wore so little clothing, moved in the most sexual way possible, and never stopped to throw Hiro a look that said 'take off your pants'. It made him scream on the inside.

“I tried talking to him, and he started out all right. Then the innuendos came, and he started glancing down my pants.”

Oh, if only it stopped at the looks and the insinuative remarks. To add to it, Yuma would sneak up on Hiro, and always pee right next to him, casually throwing looks over the barrier meant to keep each other's eyes away from their penises. He wasn't even trying to be secretive about it. This was downright harassment.

“Over the past few days he’s done nothing but bother me at every chance he got. He’s thrown me obscene remarks about the way I look, made weird movements towards me, gestured one too any times to his own package. He likes to send paper planes with drawings of dicks to me as well. He doesn’t avoid me like the other guys, which should be a plus. Honestly, I wish he would. I don’t get it, what does he want?” He sighed deeply, and could still see the cheeky smirk of Yuma in front of him.

"So," Hiro wrote down in his diary, "when he asked me whether I wanted to snog him yesterday, I wasn't really surprised."

The question had come out of nowhere, really, like all the other remarks that came from Yuma’s mouth. Hiro had gotten quite agitated at the long-haired boy for stealing gazes down the private region once again while peeing.

"Could you maybe knock it off? It's making me feel uncomfortable!" he said, as he shook it and put it back in his pants.

"And hard!" the other boy chuckled. Hiro could feel the blood rushing towards his cheeks.

"A-am not!" he stuttered, though it did not sound very convincing. Yuma let out a girlish giggle, and zipped up his pants as well. As Hiro washed his hands and splattered cold water all over his face, he could feel the heat of Yuma's body pressing against his back. The long-haired boy leaned his head over Hiro's shoulder, his breaths brushing against the other’s ears.

"I could snog you, that would make them go away." Hiro turned around and gazed right into Yuma's green eyes, who were filled with mischief. The long-haired boy put his pinky in his mouth and started sucking it, smirking. "Think about it, will you?" And off he strode, hips swaying left and right. Before exiting the boy's room, he said: "You're so cute when you blush."

At first, Hiro didn't know what to think of it. He immediately waved off the question as a whole. ‘He is probably just teasing me again’, is what he thought, ‘trying to see how I react.’ Well, boy did he react to it. Hiro turned to look in the mirror and could see his face had gone a completely scarlet from blushing. "Damn it." he muttered, as he set off towards his classes.

Hiro gazed down at his diary and wiped away the tears, able to smile for a bit again. Quite an eventful week it had been, so far. He ran a hand through his long, black hairs and stared at his pen for a while. "Would I like to snog him.." he chuckled under his breath. "...to make them go away.." Hiro sighed deeply as his eyes travelled towards the picture on his desk. It featured himself, albeit a few years younger, and a little girl and boy. He took the picture in his hands and cradled it for a bit. They were his younger sister and brother, and they hadn't seen each other in years. Hiro lived with his father, while his siblings lived with their mother. Divorced parents, and all. In the beginning, right after their parents had separated, they had lived near each other, but as time passed and Hiro's father switched jobs more frequently, they'd had to move away further and further. Not that it bothered him that much, he'd never had a friend anyway, nobody to miss or say goodbye to. Just his siblings. "... to make them go away." Hiro lingered on that. It was no secret that the majority of the school's female students had been chasing Hiro ever since he introduced himself, Yuma must know as well. Most of the guys had grown to hate him for it. All but Yuma, actually. Hiro decided he must be over thinking things. One thing was certain, and it was that Yuma thought with his cock instead of his brains.

Hiro did not wake up until noon on Saturday. He was still very tired, but the light coming in through the thin curtains in front on his window was too strong to be ignored any longer. A big yawn escaped his mouth, and he sat upright to look out of the window. It was a beautiful autumn day. Leaves of every colour fell down from the treas and covered the streets like a red and yellow carpet. A few birds flew through the sky, joining a larger flock a bit further away. The sun would casually break through the clouds and shine down a ray of light. It was weekend now, and he had time, he could go and explore the neighbourhood for a bit. Hiro had been simply too tired to do so up until now. Within the hour, he had made himself breakfast, showered, dressed himself, and gotten out of the house. The autumn air filled his nostrils at once. The weather was great, and the temperature was mild, not warm, but not too cold either.

Hiro and his father had moved here not too long ago, when his father had gotten yet another new job. The man’s situation wasn’t ideal, without the right education and the right experiences, Hiro’s father was usually the first one to be let go whenever a company needed to fire someone. He always found a new job, eventually, no matter how far away. Hiro wondered how long they would stay here. ‘I hope it’s not too long.’

The street they had come to live in was a small one, a fence with on the other side a meadow marking the end of it. On one side of the street stood a row of tiny, old terraced houses, in one of which Hiro and his father had come to live, two housed away from the meadow. On the other side of the street stood bigger, traditional houses. Hiro walked away from the meadow, towards a cross-section leading to other streets in this residential area. He was at a walking distance from the nearest subway station, which he used to go to school, and he considered riding the train to a random place. However, at the cross-section, he stopped. Right before it were some street benches, strategically situated underneath large trees. They made for the perfect reading spot. As it happened, someone was sitting on one of the benches, reading. He had a familiar face. Hiro decided to take his chances and walked up to the boy.

“Don’t tell me you followed me all the way here as well.”

Yuma glanced up from his book with a look of surprise on his face.

“Oh! What are you doing here?”

The surprise on his face seemed genuine enough for Hiro to believe that Yuma did not follow him to his house, which was a bit of a relief. After explaining that he lived around here, Yuma responded:

“I live in that street as well. The side with the bigger houses, second one from here. Did you know it’s known as the heartbreak street? Most people living in the smaller houses are divorcees, and the people in the bigger ones are happily married, or they’d like to pretend they are at least. But you know how things go. The divorcees like to seduce the married ones. Happened a few times since I got to live here. I hear all of the gossip, the woman next door feeds me every juicy detail, albeit unknowingly.” Yuma smiled at Hiro and patted the empty space next to him on the bench, gesturing him to sit down. He hesitated for a bit, but sat down anyway. The brunette turned his eyes back to his book again and started to suck his pinky. The black-haired boy could not make out what kind of book Yuma was reading, as he had slipped a cover over the book.

“Anything interesting you’re reading there? I like books as well. Especially English lit, it’s a bit hard to get into at first, but once you’ve got the feeling for it, it’s amazing.”

Yuma chuckled, bit his bottom lip, seemed to consider something, but shook his head. After a few seconds or so, he burst anyway. Laughing, he said: “There’s more things that are hard to get into, but are amazing once you get used to it!” At that, he cocked an eyebrow and smirked widely.

You did not need to be an evil genius to know what that was about. “If you’re going to be like that again, I’m out. Not up to that kind of bullshit again, I’m sorry.” Said Hiro as he got up to leave. Yuma grabbed his hand and pulled it towards him in response, causing the black-haired boy to jerk his hand away in shock. The brunette muttered an apology and asked him to sit back down.

“You left me no choice, I had to make that joke. I’m almost done reading, you can have the book when I’m done. It’s not English lit, thank goodness, but you’ll like it, I guarantee you.”

No smirk, no eyebrows. Hiro sat back down and relaxed a bit, feeling a gentle breeze across his face.

“Any particular reason you’re out here reading?” Hiro asked.

“Yes, quite a few actually.” Yuma answered, as he glanced back at his book again, turning a page.

Hiro waited, but no further answers came. He looked at the brunette and caught his stare after a while, when he lifted his eyes from his pages again. Yuma caught on to the questioning look in Hiro’s eyes.

“One, I like reading this book. Two, I hate reading it inside my house, because my mother is an insufferable control freak and she’d hate what I’m reading. Three, I was supposed to wait here anyway. I’m off shopping with Rose in a few, she’s picking me up here. Want to-” Yuma suddenly cut off at that, seemingly considering something, then quickly added: “Nevermind, forget that.”

For a moment there, Hiro had hoped to be invited to something fun. Rose was Yuma’s best pal it seemed, the girl who sat next to him and which whom he always exchanged notes in class. They were quite the troublesome lot, and Ms. Spring, their main teacher, would always call them out in the middle of a lecture. The girl had beautiful golden hairs, cut in a bob-line, and she always wore a red rose pin in it. She hadn’t asked Hiro out yet, he remembered. Actually, she hadn’t seemed interested at all.

Yuma had returned to his reading again and he appeared a bit flustered. His cheeks were red and he was breathing heavily. After a minute or so, Yuma closed his book.

“There, finished.” He handed it over to Hiro and told him not to read it until he was alone. “Then you can take it all in without me sitting next to you making you feel uncomfortable, love. I have to warn you though, it’s a manga, not some high-end literature.” The black-haired boy took the book and thanked the brunette, who on his turn shifted his body so that he faced Hiro in full now.

“You… Are you all right?” Hiro was quite taken aback by this sudden interest in his well-being, coming from someone who had sexually harassed him over the past few days nonetheless. Hiro could not deny that the green-eyed young man seemed like a completely different person outside of school, though. Carefully, Hiro explained that he was tired and that maybe, he had expected school to be a bit different.

“I am quite the lady-killer, aren’t I?”

Yuma laughed out loud at that, and nodded a bit. “Quite so, they’re all in for you!”

Hiro smiled, for the first time in days it felt. He felt some warm sensation run through his body. He felt at ease. Yuma returned Hiro’s smile and ran his fingers through his own hairs. They were so smooth compared to Hiro’s messy ones. He never managed to completely control his long locks.

The look on Yuma’s face shifted completely when a voice was heard in the distance, though, a girl’s voice, Rose’s. “Yuma! I’m here, come on! I need to visit that one shop with all the manga, they’re having a clear-out sale and I only found out this morning. At this rate there will be none left! They’ve got your genre too, so move that ass and- Oh! Hiro! Hi, I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced yet? I’m Rose.” The girl happily shook Hiro’s hand, but her hurry seemed to be genuine, and she pulled Yuma from the bench, excusing herself, and dragging the brunette along. Yuma winked at Hiro and gestured at him to read the book. Just like that, Hiro was alone again. He looked at the manga in his hand, it’s cover hidden. He opened the manga randomly at one page and slammed it shut as soon as he had laid his eyes upon a picture of a penis covered in fluids, and an arsehole filled with said liquids to complete the setting. Figures. Yuma had given him gay porn.

The next monday, during lunch break, Hiro was flanked by two girls called Gigi and Angela. They raved on about how happy they were to welcome Hiro to their school, and explained about all kinds of social events, including those at which you could NOT show up without a date (whilst hinting at loving to take Hiro to one of those). He laughed at their jokes and chatted along, pretending to be interested, but there was just a lot on his mind. His eyes wandered across the cantina, and met a set of green ones. Yuma's. The long-haired brunette lifted an eyebrow, and shook his head as if trying to point out the jolly pair of girls beside him. The green eyes were questioning him 'Are they bothering you?'. Just as Hiro tried to shake his head, the green eyes fixed themselves on the blonde girl sitting next to the boy, his best friend Rose, and the two of them resumed their conversation.

Earlier that morning, Yuma has pulled another one of his actions on Hiro. After the last weekend, the black-haired boy had hoped the green-eyed brunette would be less of an annoyance to him, but no, he’d gotten worse. While waiting for the next teacher to show up, Yuma had come over to Hiro’s desk to ask him whether he’d enjoyed the manga. Hiro tried to gesture Yuma to leave him alone, but Yuma only seemed to be encouraged by that.

“Did you like the penises? Yours looks like the one of Shouichi-kun, don’t you think? Mine looks like Tanaka-san’s, if you’d ever bother to throw a glance back over the barrier you’d know!” Everybody stared at the two young men, and Hiro felt a blush starting to form on his cheeks. Again, he gestured Yuma to go away, but he would not budge. Finally, Hiro broke, and he yelled at Yuma to go away.

“I don’t know what the hell you want from me! Get away, I don’t need your obscene remarks and your creepy suggestions. I do not want to see your penis, and I do certainly not want to snog you! Go and annoy your girlfriend in the back, and leave me alone!”

That caught the attention of everybody. Girls started to giggle and boys started to point at the brunette. Yuma turned to leave, but whispered in Hiro’s ears: “Thanks for making a scene. I thought I’d never break you. Step one is complete, see you at lunch, love.”

"You know, Hiro, you are probably the best-looking guy in this entire school." Gigi laughed at one point.

"Gigi, come on, the second best-looking." Angela giggled at that, trying to meet Hiro's eyes.

"Oh come on!" Gigi exclaimed at that, "Don't tell me you've still got it in for that one!" Hiro shifted his gaze towards Gigi with a puzzling look in his eyes.

"What?" he asked. Gigi licked her lips and pointed towards Yuma, bumping her shoulder against Hiro's.

"Angela fancies Yuma, but she knows she can't get him, that's why she's after you now!" the girl whispered, at which Angela tried to deny the entire deal, "Am not!". Hiro shot another look across the cantina, looking at Yuma as he was probably telling some impressive story to Rose, judging from the movements of his arms in every direction.

"Why can't she get him, then? Is he involved with Rose?" Hiro asked Gigi.

It seemed obvious to him, Yuma acted like, well, like he was not interested in girls at all. Truth be told, Hiro had contemplated Yuma’s sexual orientation a couple of times already, wondering whether the boy might genuinely be interested in him, but he decided that it must all have been an act to set him off, to plague him. Besides, he thought, he’s always with Rose.

Gigi and Angela both started laughing at that point, leaving the young man confused over what was so funny about it.

"Oh my, Hiro, didn't you know?" Gigi laughed.

"Everybody knows!" Angela added, holding back tears of laughter. Hiro inquired about what was so funny about the whole issue, when Angela's voice, broken down from laughter, sounded: "Yuma is a fag! Everyone knows! When he came to the school one and a half years ago, every girl was all over him." Tears were rolling down her face now.

Gigi picked up the story. "Up until he snogged that random dude in front of the entire school that was, after that, nobody bothered anymore. It all ended up being fake, though, just Rose in boy’s clothes, but he got the message across. I mean, look at him!" Both girls were screaming, and the three of them had caught the attention of the entire cantina. Even Yuma was eyeing them.

Gay after all, huh? Somehow, it just seemed hard to believe, and then Hiro knew. All of the sudden, he knew what the question had meant, the obscene request before the weekend. Things started to fall into place now. Or well, at least Hiro hoped that Yuma had meant it that way.

"So Yuma's a fag?" Hiro asked the girls, to which they both nodded, whilst giggling. Hiro got up from his chair at that, excused himself towards the two ladies, and walked over to the table at which Yuma and Rose were seated. Yuma looked into Hiro's amber eyes and smiled.

"Yes?"

Hiro tried to ignore the look in those green eyes, which were probably undressing him in the brunette's mind. Rose was looking at him as well. It took some effort, but in the end Hiro managed to say the words.

"I-I... I'd love to...." He averted his eyes, not wanting to meet the green glittering gems staring at him. God, he could feel the blood rushing towards his cheeks again. He heard a chair move, and when he turned his head, Yuma was standing right in front of him.

The brunette wrapped his arms around Hiro's neck, moved his face closer to the young man's, and whispered against the other's lips: "Well then" And their lips locked together.

Now it seemed as if all the blood is his body rushed towards Hiro's face. Everything started to feel so damn hot. No, he thought, I musn't feel like this, it's a scam, it's just a scam. As the two young men locked their lips together, gasps could be heard all across the cantina.

From a little back, Hiro could have sworn he heard Angela exclaim: "Not him, too!"

Yuma's lips pressed firmly against Hiro's, they were soft and slick with saliva. 'The prick must've licked them before kissing me', Hiro thought. His eyes met Yuma's. Both boys hadn't closed their eyes during the kiss, but it occurred to Hiro that maybe they should. Would they believe it? Didn't it seem staged? Better to be safe than sorry, right? Hiro closed his eyes and leaned in on Yuma, engulfing the brunette's lips with his own. He could feel Yuma's hands entangling themselves into his hairs, and a muffled gasp escaped the long-haired boy's throat. Before he noticed what he did, Hiro pressed his tongue against Yuma's lips, begging for entrance. Of course, the brunette happily obliged, and before long, they were full-scale making out. As if automatically, Hiro wrapped his arms against the other boy's waist and pressed him close, deepening the kiss. It wasn't Hiro's first kiss, he had done this a couple of times before. Yuma's tongue was playing with his inside of their mouths, rolling around in circles. It wasn't until Yuma started sucking Hiro's tongue pacefully when realization his the amber-eyed boy. His eyes shot open, and he parted his lips from Yuma's, who's tongue hung out of his mouth, a string of saliva running from it towards Hiro's mouth.

"My," he said, licking his lips, "that was the best one I've had so far."

Hello people! Thank you for reading my work.

Welcome to the first chapter of my LGBT Romance novel called 'Sensitive'.

I've been a fanfiction writer for a long time, and this story resulted from my urge to create my own characters and hook them up. I use these characters in many different scenarios, and 'Sensitive' is definitely one of the best.

Synopsis:
When Hiromu Nakagawa first comes into his new school and his new class, the only thing he wants to find is a friend. He is offered friendship by the charismatic and troublesome youth with an unusual tendency towards physical contact, Yuma Matsuo, and his partner in crime, Rose Dahlia. Together, the three of them form a magical trio, and develop a strong bond of friendship. Yuma becomes Hiromu's best friend, and they can share anything with each other, even things they cannot share with Rose. Feelings develop between the two young men, but they agree not to pursue for the sake of their friendship. Hiromu struggles to subdue his feelings, but when Yuma starts acting weird, and seems to fall down a hole of emotions he might not be able to get out of again, he himself finds that he has to make a choice. And what are these voices he keeps hearing in his head? Young adult, Romance, Gender-identity, LGBT+, Mental disease, Grief, Family.

Please leave feedback! I try to upload a new chapter once every two weeks.

Love,

One sentence: I need moar :XD:

I really like how you transition smoothly from one event to the next, creating an interesting flow to the whole chapter. The problem with some stories is that you feel like things are too rushed, but that wasn't the case here, at least for me. I love each of Hiro and Yuma's personalities, and I think they really work out well together. I bet they'll turn out more and more interesting as the story progresses. So, good job.
